Community Garden

A Community Garden is a great place to get to know people and be a part of a shared community.

Our garden is located on our church grounds and includes individual garden beds as well as a shared herb garden and fruit trees.

Welcome to Our Garden.

Our garden is located on the grounds of the South Toowoomba Presbyterian Church and includes individual garden beds as well as a shared herb garden and fruit trees.

Social Gardening.

Social Gardening times occur on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 3:30 pm.

Get into the Garden.

Our gardeners each have their own individual plot and access to citrus trees, a herb garden, composting facilities and a storage shed containing all the necessary garden tools.

Relationships are important to us and to facilitate this we have social gardening times. Meet and chat with gardener’s and share gardening wisdom.

And you never know, they might even share some of their produce with you.

Our garden members are required to adhere to our Community Garden Agreement

+

a 6-monthly membership fee of $5 is payable in February and August of each year.

The Shared Garden Bed

Non-members are welcome to share in the harvest from our herb garden and our ‘community bed’ which is a raised garden bed (bed #10) set aside for everyone to enjoy.

Contribute to the Shared Compost.

We have three shared composts to turn our food scraps into good soil for the gardens.

We accept chopped green waste and fruit and vegetable scraps. Please, no citrus, onion, or meat scraps

The 3 composting bins are located along the fence-line on Cranley St.

How is the compost used?

Our community gardeners are free to use the shared composts on their garden beds.
